Cole was sitting on the couch sipping a cup of coffee. Max was running back and forth from his room to the living room each time carrying a different toy. It was funny for Cole to watch especially since he was pretty sure Ellie wouldn't care about the toys.

"Settle down Max. They'll be here in a minute,"Cole chuckled.

I'm kid free for New Years. Thinking about getting out and doing something. Could probably find something fun.

Max is too smart for his own good. I'm not sure what to do with a kid that knows a lot more than I want him too. I love the kid but he always manages to ask the questions I'm not sure how to answer and he always asks when I least expect him to.

Matching bruises was not a part of my plan for father son bonding time but now we both look like we went a couple rounds with Mike Tyson and lost. I knew there was a reason I liked baseball better than football.

Max has pulled his charmer routine again it looks like he has a new friend in Ellie. I have nice video on my phone of them playing peek-a-boo. Of course that made him ask me for his own baby again but he's easy enough to distract at this age.

It gets a little hard to make work calls when my kid hides my phone. Digging around in the rabbit area to try and find it wasn't fun at all.

Ok so apparently the guy at the pet store needs a lesson in biology. The bunnies he told me where both female no matter what Max named them are apparently not both female. Is anyone going to want a bunny?

My own squad may have to investigate me if she doesn't leave soon. I don't even have my kid on my side anymore.

My mother is in town. This is a scary scary thing it also means that I have to sleep on my couch. Not a great situation when the little guy is out of preschool for the summer and more than happy to wake daddy up at extremely early hours of the morning to watch cartoons with him.

I love my kid but I hate that bath time means my whole bathroom is going to look like a tsunami hit it. I have found bubbles from the tub behind the toilet, in the cabinet under the sink, and in my medicine cabinet all from tonight.

Well Max and I decided we are having an Easter Party so anyone who wants to come by the apartment for food and a very small area to hide eggs for the kids should drop in.

Every year I tell myself I'm not going to celebrate St.Patrick's Day and every year I give in and do it. The day after is never worth the celebrating that I end up doing. For now I'm going to curl up on the couch and be glad that for tonight Max is with his mother.

I think my kid has been hiding my socks. I know I had two when I got them out of the dresser and lay them next to my shirt on the bed. I had to go to the kitchen and check on the biscuits for breakfast, I come back and there is one left. Max is swearing he didn't do it so now it's a game of hide and seek.

Valentines for kids classes are always a pain but this year at least Max let me buy the ones he wanted to hand out instead of having to make them like last year. The package even came with a special one for the teacher that he loved. Its amazing what keeps that kid happy.

Well Max had seven dollars to spend today when we got to the store and I doubt I hear the end of it anytime soon. After running down his energy at the unexpected playdate he crashed right when we got home and then woke up at the crack of dawn to play with his boats. Of course he left the boats out and on my way to make breakfast I had a little run in with them. Then I ruined breakfast, spilled the last of the milk, and managed to cuss loudly in front of the parrot that is my son.

I think I'm actually leaving my apartment tonight and heading out to a party. It should be interesting to say the least since I know almost nobody thats going to be there but go to give it a try.

I think I have sucker printed on my forehead when it comes to my little guy. He talks me into a lot more than he should be able to just with the pout he seems to have mastered. I know he's not really prepared to wrap anything and that I should just do it so we don't have a mess so I don't know why in the world I let him help and ended up with wrapping paper taped to my walls.

I have made sure to triple check everything I have all my supplies for dinner tomorrow and I'm not going outside into the crazy unless I have to. Max decided that he gets to help me cook so the job of mashing potatoes has been delegated to him. Hopefully the few people I have coming do not mind lumps.

I must remember to be more clear next time I tell Max that I'm happy to let him pick our Halloween costumes. Of course I promised before he picked so now he and I are themed.
